Rescue the Delivery! |
|
It started back in December, the odd failed deliveries of Cider, Milk and cookies to the Tavern. This was highly puzzling as the other deliveries made it in just fine. When questioning the delivery company it was determined that all deliveries had been sent out but yet for some reason they never reached the Shire of Wispwood. Obviously something was happening mid route. Fearing bandits holding up the deliveries somewhere in route, I decided to investigate closer. Taking with me an armed guard, mainly because I did not wish to face bandits alone, we set out to trace the path the last delivery people had taken. Hoping to find some evidence to what went wrong and why. So off to Britain we went and we went carefully over the road following the signs left by the advance scouts for the delivery caravan. We made it to the bandit fort seeing no signs of any trouble and I must admit we were quite puzzled by now for absolutely no sign of foul play was anywhere. Perhaps the delivery men just took the delivery for themselves? hmmm We looked for further signs of passage by the bandit fort but it was as if the delivery caravan and the scouts had simply disappeared off the face of the earth right there! But yet no signs of violence was found. Indeed this was puzzling so we hunted around the entrance of the bandit fort. Looking for clues. A few moments later one of my guards found something unusual..... I hurried over and gulped quickly, for there in the soft grasses at the edge of the wood were markings of the caravan taking a shortcut ...... RIGHT THROUGH UND Country! Feeling I now knew what had happened to the deliveries and not wishing to draw the frightening wrath of UND down upon my head, my Guard and I raced up the road. Heading back home to report our findings. Little did I know that right at that same time, UND was laying waste to the shire! Killing everyone there in a terrible anger. Nor did I know that upon one bloody corpse was left a note written in the victims own blood a warning that would send chills down my spine. |

You have angered the Guardian with your careless trepassing of our lands with your deliveries Be prepared to pay for this with the souls of anyone else who dares trepass our lands |

Not knowing all of this, My Guard and I were racing like mad to get home but alas did not get far when from out of the bushes poured a ton of Orcs! Shrieking in fright as my horse reared up in terror at the stench, my Guards gave a valiant fight but alas we were out numbered! One of my guards screamed for me to run while they held the Orcs off. But alas those horrible dregs of the earth had me completely surrounded! Having no weapon but my smithing hammer upon me I just knew my time on this earth was limited. However I did start swinging my hammer around praying for a lucky hit that would free me from this death circle. Nothing worked and all to soon my guards were laying dead at my feet. Surprisingly enough they did not kill me, instead they tied me hand and foot and dragged me by my hair to a tower where they threw me on the floor. I was made to wait in silence as no Orc would speak to me until at last I began to hear the tremblings of the ground as of a great beast walking nearby. I shivered in fright as the Orcs around me began talking among themselves. I thought bitterly to myself that these Orcs probably were going to toss me to this beast whatever it was and thought longingly of home and my family and friends To my dread the steps slowed as they neared the Tower and a HUGE shadow slanted in through the doorway. My Stomach knotted in terror as i snapped my eyes shut tightly, foolishly hoping if I could not see this horrendous beast, it could not see me! A rancid odor filled the air and I felt naueous then a moment later lightheaded as I tried to hold my breath against the stench. All the Orcs started talking like crazy, unfortunately I in my paniced state could only catch a few words here and there. I cracked an eye open and gasped in dismay, for there standing before me, worse then any dread beast of the forest was that awful Rak'Thor! I knew then it had been his footsteps thundering through the woods and I began to know what fear really was! Let me tell you a bit about Rak'Thor. Not only is he the war leader of all the Orcs. But he also has the worst reputation. He was the one Mother's told naughty children about to get them to mind. For it was well known Rak'Thor showed no mercy or kindness to any human anywhere. He would kill men, women, even little children! His weapon NEVER failed to miss and to meet up with him in battle meant certain death! His green skin was cracked and lined with flith and age. His body bore years worth of scars of failed attempts to end this evil one's life. His breath reeked of the death he wrought and it was clear that all the Orcs there highly respected him. In fact other then Boz of UND who gave me many a nightmare and remains to this day one of the better death givers and simply a walking nightmare who made your skin crawl just looking upon him. I can not say who I feared more. I got so scared I started to gag, wanting to throw up as I knew he wouldn't make my death an easy one. To my shock he didn't immediately kill me, instead he told me I was going to be their hostage. I stared at him in shock wondering what on earth he could possibly want as I knew for a fact Orcs do not value gold. One of the Orcs untied my hands and Rak'Thor demanded I write his demands upon a paper to be delivered to the Shire. I looked about for a pen but seeing none I asked with what was I to write with To my absolute horror he smiled, showing huge yellow teeth sharp as fangs. He grabbed an arrow from a nearby Orc and slammed the arrow into my leg causing me to scream with agony. The blood pooled out from my wound as he ripped it back out. To my Horror one of the UND Vampires who was with the orcs started licking his fangs and I swear, he was salivating as he gazed hard upon my throbbing neck veins! With a sneer on his face, Rak'Thor told me in his gutteral speech I now had something to write with. So with great fear in my heart I write to you good people of the Shire to please PLEASE come rescue me! The Orcs say if we do not agree to all Future deliveries of Cider, milk and cookies being made directly to the fort, they would start delivering pieces of me to the shire!! I beg you please come help me, do not let me die to these horrid beasts! OR worse! being given to the UND to suffer only god knows what for they have very twisted, evil minds! I will tell you since they can not understand what I am writing, that there are a LARGE number of the Orcs here and so come with as big a force as you can muster as the Orcs look well entrenched here. I just looked outside the tower through an arrow slit in the wall and saw masses of UND swarming up to the tower! Pieces of their flesh dropping with sickening thuds on the road by their zombies. A Weird fire burning in the eyes of them all. Oh Dear Lord your going to need an army to even have a prayer of defeating these hosts of the Dead! Please help me! I beesech you! ---------------------------------------------- Event is to be held Jan 11,2003 (Saturday) 10:30pm est 7:30pm PST Start location will be at the shire tavern, from there will be gated to where event begins.
